I found the following in an old quilting magazine and wanted to share it with you...

Only quilters can understand the sense of calm that comes over us as we fondle our fabrics and dream of the next project, or sit quietly doing handwork while listening to music or watching"Dancing With The Stars."   Its an escape, a meditation, a way to work out problems stitch by stitch.

Piecing rows and rows of fabric strips for multiple blocks has a way of clearing the mind and quieting the voices within.  Whether we show off our creations to others or give our quilts away with an open heart, it is the jouney and the process of quiltmaking that heal our hearts and minds when the world outside is just too chaotic.

Our Quilting Club will meet the 4th Thursday, April 26, at 6:30.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  We are having a demonstration on flower making this month.  Bring "Show and Tell."

With Easter fresh behind us, I leave you with one of my favortie Bible quotes: John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.
